Natural Born or Not

Concerning the hyberhole that is running rampent on the internet - - - here are the cases:

Minor v. Happersett - 88 U.S. 162 (1874)  

The case was actually about a woman that was born as a "native" and was refused the right to vote. In which, the court made a ruling that distinguished the difference that she was a "natural born" "native" and made the distinction between "natives" as "natural born" citizens from "aliens" or "foreigners." This courts ruling was later upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court which stated she was indeed a "natural born" citizen, yet that didn't give her the right to vote.

U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark - (prior to the 14th Amendment)

In this case, the court closed the issue of a person born in the U.S. of foreign born parents as being a U.S. citizen and ruled that indeed they are citizens. (I don't agree with this ruling unless your parents are here legally as resident aliens. Work permits, visitor visas and such shouldn't count, yet it is what it is.)

Both cases only give us the answers to who is a citizen and who is not. The cases only tell us that "natives' are "natural born" citizens, as distinguished from "aliens" or "foreigners" and that a person born in the U.S. of foreign parents is a citizen of the United States of America.

I guess with all the hype on the internet, people will have to continue to look for the answers else where. Yet, I am of the belief that there is a difference between a "natural born" citizen and just a "regular" citizen/"naturalized" citizen as we define it today.

My belief is: That a "natural born" citizen is a citizen born of a Mother and Father whom are both U.S. citizens (e.g. born in the USA). A "regular" citizen is a citizen born by Mother or Father in which one or the other is a U.S. citizen.

And the fight will continue.

Also, those of you with ancestery from other than the USA are not "Natives." So, could you please knock it off - especially you Coloradoans and Texans. I don't know where the line should be drawn, but certainly more than the 250 to 300 years that most of our ancestors have been/were here. The "natives" have been here for a 1,000 or more.

BTW, in my mind, Rep Mark Rubio is not a "natural born" citizen, as his parents were not born U.S. citizens. So no Vice President position for him, by the way of, that if something should happen to the President the Vice President assumes the Presidency.
