Just the facts please. An excellent and truthful review concerning Herman Cain.

Although I lean toward Newt Gingrich, If Herman gets the nomination, I'll vote for him in a heart beat! It's just to bad we can't have a Gingrich-Cain Ticket!

I'm Paying Attention to This Administrations Distructive Actions - Are You?

Earlier this week, The Washington Post’s Lally Weymouth interviewed King Abdallah of Jordan. Here’s how King Abdallah responded to Weymouth’s question, “Do you and other leaders in this area believe you cannot rely on the U.S.?”
“I think everybody is wary of dealing with the West. … Looking at how quickly people turned their backs on [Egyptian President Husni] Mubarak, I would say that most people are going to try and go their own way. I think there is going to be less coordination with the West and therefore a chance of more misunderstandings.”
This is devastating. I’m not shocked he thinks that way, but I am shocked that he says so openly. That’s how far things have gone. Jordan is now turning to Saudi Arabia for protection.

For more than 40 years, Jordan has been the most consistent ally of the United States in the Arab world. Yet the king can no longer trust the White House. The Obama administration dumped Mubarak, and it might dump him too.

Because no one in the Middle East trusts the U.S., no one will stick his neck out on behalf of U.S. interests or requests. Moreover, they are going their own way. While Washington officials extol Islamist forces or things that benefit them in Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia and Turkey, they don’t seem to care at all about Israel, Jordan or Saudi Arabia, the scattered survivors of recent developments and Obama’s pro-Islamist policies.

This also partly explains Iraq’s lack of interest in a continued U.S. troop presence. Likewise, the Afghan government knows that it cannot depend on a U.S. government that is not only withdrawing its troops but has subverted the Kabul regime, proven powerless in dealing with Pakistan and openly talks of political negotiations with the Taliban and even al Qaida-linked terrorist groups (the Haqqani Network).
The longstanding U.S. policy of allying with moderate Arab monarchies and nationalist regimes has been undone by the Obama administration. When the king of Jordan openly complains about it, you know that U.S. credibility among pro-Western Arabs is pretty close to zero.

Barry Rubin is director of the Global Research in International Affairs (GLORIA) Center and editor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs (MERIA) Journal at Gloria-Center.org. His latest book, Israel: An Introduction, will be published by Yale University Press in January.

Pony Up Everyone!

If everyone is taxed at the same percentage, then what the heck is the problem?

Politics is the problem!

Why should I bust my butt to become wealthy if everyone wants to take half of my earnings to give to people that refuse to work. I don’t have a problem giving to those in need; yet, the country seems set on making everyone a person in need with the welfare programs and the crap that they teach in school nowadays.

Reform Welfare;

Get rid of the Department of Education (sending it back to the States control);

Cut back on the Department of Housing and Urban control;

Remove the legislative/law making authority from all the various government agencies;

Downsize the IRS through Tax Reform and send all the lawyers and accountants to work at the FBI – they can start investigating white collar crime and corruption in government; and

STOP all the growth of government by consolidating various entities and downsizing them through attrition (sp) until they reach the desired end strength;

Cap government spending to a percentage of the national GDP;

Lastly, Flat Tax everyone at 15 percent! Here are my suggestions for the only exceptions to any new tax code (and only for those making less than $250,000.00 a year (or $500,000.00 for filing married) -

- a deduction of $15,000 per (legitimate) person within the immediate household;

- a deduction for interest on the Cost of Housing;

- a deduction for State and Local Taxes;

- a deduction for Monies (only) Given to Charities (giving to your local Church will not count).

- That's it, no death taxes, corporate taxes, or deductions for businesses/new equipment or assessments, ect. If you make money on it - It's Taxed.

((Those individuals at the poverty level, and below, don't pay taxes (and herein lies the rub) - the individuals that work under the table for cash, that cheat us all, by not claiming the money as earned income.))

- - I SAY NO TO A NATIONAL SALES TAX! - -

Lastly, I'm not totally sure, but the people making $250,000.00 a year (or $500,000.00 for filing married) should get the excemptions also. After all, it should be fair for everyone - "across the board."

Floyd's Comment on Obama Woos the Disheartend...Voters

Obama is my shepherd; I shall not work.

He keepth jobs out of the hands of the people,

Which leadeth the country to class warfare and polarization.

He encourageth sloth; he leadeth the government to new heights in deficit spending.

Yea, though I walk in the shadow of Economic collapse,

I shall fear no depression: for Obama is with me.

His handouts and monetary indiscretion supplement my income.

He maintainest spending increases in the presence of insurmountable debt:

He punisheth businesses with excessive regulations:

And giveth the hard-earned fruits of labor to the unproductive.

Surely, handouts and stimulus payments shall follow all the days of his administration:

And I will stay unemployed forever.

Lack of leadership, the first-ever federal credit downgrade, a failed debt deal, unemployment nearing record levels, fresh warnings of a double-dip recession, and the most toxic political climate in Washington history . . . can you trust President Obama?

Social Security

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it.  Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts.
Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary,

- No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,
- Now 7.65% on the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
- No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent 'Trust Fund' rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program,
- Under Johnson the money was moved to The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income,
- Under the Clinton & Gore Administration, up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now ready to, or are already, receiving a Social Security check every month and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to 'put away' -- you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent 'Trust Fund' and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the 'tie-breaking' deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President
AND MY FAVORITE:

Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.

Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn't so. But it's worth a try.
Pass this around. Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

It also doesn't hurt to post it again on your blog.

Newt Gingrich's First Ad

Entitled: Newt Now

Him, Herman or Michelle! We couldn't do any better.

Newt Gingrich - A Class Act

We will never forget his stumbles in his marriages, yet as a politician, he's got tons more class, fortitude, and truthfulness than our current "White House" occupier.

Check this out -

Another Difference between California and Texas

CALIFORNIA:
The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail.
A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor's dog, then bites the Governor.

    1.  The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.
    2.  He calls animal control.  Animal Control captures the coyote and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.
    3.  He calls a veterinarian.  The vet collects the dead dog and bills the state $200 testing it for diseases.
    4.  The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.
    5.  The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of dangerous animals.
    6.  The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a "coyote awareness program" for residents of the area.
    7.  The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

    8.  The Governor's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack.  The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with additional special training re: the nature of coyotes.
    9. PETA protests the coyote's relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.

TEXAS:
The Governor of Texas is jogging with his dog along a nature trail.  A Coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.
    1. The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging.  The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.
    2. The Buzzards eat the dead coyote.

And that, my friends, is why California is broke and Texas is not.

The Debates

The debates are supposed to show the various stances of the individuals running for the US Presidency.

What I am starting to see, especially between Romney and Perry, is a bunch of bickering, finger pointing, and various jabs at things that have happened in their lives that they have either fixed or didn’t know that it needed fixing.

I tell you what needs fixing – The current philosophy of our Federal government. It needs to go back to the founders agreements that were made in “The Constitution of the United States of America, followed up by the “Bill of Rights.” That’s the only thing that can fix this mess that we are in.

Overhauling Social Security and Medicare / Medicare will also have to be done, whether we like it or not.

The overhaul of these things should not be done on the backs of the men and women that serve in our military. If the current President and Secretary of Defense think that continually changing the retirement options is the answer, then they are continuing to take our country down the wrong road.

There will be no one to stick around in the leadership positions of the armed forces. Twenty-years of military service is not the same as twenty-years, or even fifty-years, of civilian or federal government services. Military service takes a toll on ones’ body. That’s why a lot of the military retirees are disabled. Some a lot and some not so much, but disabled never the less.

Their service to this country takes them around the world to places that people in the US never hear about, or don’t even have a clue that they exists. The toll on them and their families is a heavy burden, that do willingly for thier fellow citizens. Wives that don’t know where their husbands went, or even when they will be back. They are just gone at a moment’s notice, some to return injured or in a body bag.

The current leadership (term used very loosely) of this nation doesn’t have a clue. The only appointee that I would even come close to trusting or believing  on this issue is General Petraeus, who currently is in charge of the CIA. He is the only one in this administration, that I can think of, that has any prolonged military experience.

Are they asking him, I doubt it.

They should be listening to the Association of the United States Army, The Disabled Veterans of America, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars for some guidance.

They don’t have to follow all the suggestions of these organizations, but on military retirement and their medical needs , THEY SHOULD!

GOP Hasn't Been "Black Friendly" for Centuries

In an e-mail from received from "Vision To America," written by Warner Todd Huston
Presidential hopeful Herman Cain made an appearance on ABC’s The View this week and had to deflect staggering ignorance from host Joy Behar. Discussing Cain’s assertion that some blacks are “brainwashed” not to consider any conservative ideas, the very first sentence out of Behar’s mouth was “The Republican Party hasn’t been black friendly over the many centuries in this country.”

Sadly, the coffee klatch program is what passes for as “intelligent” conversation on TV these days. Behar’s blather is ignorant in a million ways and indicative of the historical illiteracy of the far left in this country.

First, of course, this county hasn’t even been a country for “many centuries.” We are only about 235 years old as a nation! Most people don’t claim two as “many,” but only as “a couple.”

Second, the Republican Party has also not been around for “many centuries in this country.” The party is only about 155 years old.

Third, when the party itself was started it was derisively called the “Black Republicans” by Behar’s beloved Democrats because it was so friendly to America’s blacks. The party was founded with a pro-black agenda, its primary goal being the abolition all blacks from slavery and assuring them civil rights. In fact, for many decades after the Civil War and on into the 1900s most black Americans were Republicans, not Democrats. The very first blacks elected to Congress ran as Republicans. Blacks being Democrats is a relatively new development in our history.

In fact, if it wasn’t for the Republican Party the Civil Rights Act of 1964 could not have passed. It was GOP votes that pushed that bill into law, not Democrat support. More Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act than Republicans. The truth is that the 1964 Civil Rights Act saw strong Republican support. Of the total number of Republicans then serving in Congress, support never dipped below 70% on any of the final vote counts. The original House version got 80% GOP support, the Senate version got 82% and the final vote in the House was 82% of Republicans in support. On the other hand, Congressional Democrats never saw higher than 69% of its membership in support of civil rights for blacks.

One of the leading voices in favor of the bill’s passage was Illinois Senator Edward Dirksen, a Republican. In comparison, Senator Robert Byrd, a Democrat from West Virginia, was a leading voice against civil rights; he filibustered the act for fourteen hours and yet, for years afterward, was celebrated as the Democrat’s best man.
If it were up to Democrats in 1964, the Civil Rights Act would never have passed. Hollywood entertainer Joy Behar reveals her ignorance and defaults to lying about the GOP’s history in a transparent effort to derail the campaign of a beloved black Republican candidate.

ToughtsjustoffCenter comments: Just when is the public going to show a "lick of sense," or intelligence, by turning off television/cable programs like this?

The President & the Department of Justice Ignoring the Laws

A portion of a letter received from "Liberty Counsel." - - - -

On July 22, President Barack Obama, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen signed a certification that a repeal of the 1993 "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy regarding homosexuals in the military would do no harm to the armed forces.

The certification followed a 7 month "indoctrination" period that one homosexual activist called, "an unprecedented opportunity" to promote "the normalcy of the gay community."

++A Pandora's Box of consequences has ensued!

As we repeatedly warned during the period of time the Obama administration was forcing acceptance of open homosexuality in our military, this unwarranted change of policy is already having major repercussions.

Last week, the Department of Defense announced that military chaplains can now officiate in same-sex ceremonies and are allowed to use federal facilities for the events!
Besides the obvious question, "What if a Chaplain's conscience does not permit him to officiate in a homosexual marriage?" There are any number of legal problems that arise.

Here is the biggest one of all:

There is an existing federal law that is being flaunted by the Department of Defense (with President Obama's blessing)...the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which
recognizes marriage as being exclusively between one man and one woman!

Barack Obama's dereliction of duty to defend DOMA is unconscionable! But then the President usurps the Supreme Court's duty under the Constitution by brazenly declaring DOMA to be "unconstitutional" and "indefensible."

In other words, President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder acted as judge and jury in determining that a federal law passed by Congress in 1996 - a law that had already survived many strong court challenges - is somehow "unconstitutional"!

++Liberty Counsel must be ready to fight back!

Pro-homosexual activists have been pushing forward as quickly as possible in the wake of this disastrous announcement by the Obama administration.

ThoughtsjustoffCenter comments: How can congress sit back and allow this to happen? Why isn't there an investigation into the Presidents, and the Justice Departments defiance of federal law. That goes with not procecuting pot shops too. Although, I believe that marijauna shouldn't be a class I substance, it is. So the laws should be upheld and persued by law enforcement. Not having them (LEA) look the other way because of politics. Hello, how can military chaplins be allowed to conduct these marriages within states that have laws against same sex marriage? They still have to register the marriage at the local justice of the peace, so just how does that work? I'm sure that not doing your job, and just looking the other way, as required by law, it is a firing offense. Hello congress - start doing your jobs!

From LMAObama.com

The problem is, the DemocRATS constantly lie and twist the history of our government and country and continue to get away with it. It makes my blood boil to see and hear so many citizens that believe their lies and deeds of decipt, because they are to lazy to conduct and research to find out that they are being lied to.

Sometimes I just need to take a time out. That's why you find gaps in my daily posts or lack thereof.

Just Who is Obama Threatening

From now thru November 2012 this should be required weekly or at least monthly, reading - BY ALL WHO VOTE!

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay:

Social Security Retirees,
Military Retirees,
Social Security disability,
and Federal Retirees.

Now, let this sink in really good

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens.

He did not threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent federal inmates.

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired.

He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around.

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff.

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients.

He did not threaten the food stamp programs.

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid.

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.

The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?

His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.

Do not forget about his tactics when it's election time. Vote Obama OUT OF the Presidency in 2012.

2012 - THE END OF AN ERROR!

Democracy... is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

Liberty ... is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. -- Benjamin Franklin

Cartoon of the Day

Cowboy Rules

This has been passed around the web so many times, I can't even fathom an amount - yet, I still like it!

Cowboy rules for: Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Eastern Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Eastern Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Nebraska, Idaho, and the rest of the Wild West are as follows:

(Them chaps are for Cowboys and Motorcycle Riders - NOT singing groups!)

1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.

2. Turn your cap right, your head ain't crooked.

3. Let's get this straight: it's called a 'gravel road.' I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you're gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.

4. They are cattle. That's why they smell like cattle. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don't like it? I-10 & I-40 go east and west, I-17 & I-15 goes north and south. Pick one and go.

5. So you have a $60,000 car. We're impressed. We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.

6. Every person in the Wild West waves. It's called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.

7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin' in during a hunt, we WILL shoot it outta your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.

8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You really want sushi and caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.

9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.

10. We open doors for women. That's applied to all women, regardless of age.

11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey.

12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah ... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!!

13. You bring 'Coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.

14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.

15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards - it spooks the fish.

16. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it any more than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!

A true Westerner will send this to at least 10 others and a few new friends that probably won't get it, but we're friendly so we share in hopes you can begin to understand what a real life is all about!

And there is more............

The COWBOY Solution tosave Gasoline.

OBAMA wants us to cut the amount of gasoline we use..... The best way to stop using so much gasoline is to deport 15 million illegal immigrants!

That would be 15 million less people using our gas.

The price of gas would come down.

Bring our troops home from Afghanistan to guard the borders.

When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the Border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Afghanistan.

Tell him if he wants to come to AMERICA then he must serve a tour in OUR military.

Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it.

After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country.

He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal resident.

This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Afghanistan and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.

If they refuse to serve, ship them to Afghanistan anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo.

Problem solved!

Killing Lincoln, By Bill O'Rielly and Martin Dugard

I'm a person who reads a lot of historical accounts, "those who don't will make the same mistakes over and over," and this book was a joy to read. It read more like a novel, yet it used the history and activities of each individual, at the time, to make a very excellent read.

To bad they don't write more history books this way. Maybe our children will actually find out how great our nation has become, through the sacrifices of a few, that rip through the many degenerate and needy jerks that attempt to bring or country down.

(All the references, and references links to other information and web sites that can be found on the internet, can be found in the rear of the book .)

Thanks Mr. O'Rielly and Mr. Durgan! GREAT JOB!

Ray Stevens Hits it Again

Federal Budgeting or Lack Thereof

There is a looming crisis in federal spending that has been conveniently ignored by the mainstream media. Federal retirement benefits have soared for civil servants and military personnel, but the government has not put a single dollar in reserve to pay for the benefits! This is another example of the irresponsible way Congress spends our tax dollars.

By law, private retirement plans are required to be pre-funded. Private pension plans hold over $2.3 trillion in stocks, bonds and other assets, and even state and local governments hold over $3 trillion in reserves to pay retirement benefits as they should. Meanwhile the Federal government does not hold itself to the same standard, kicking the metaphorical can down the road by offering retirement benefits without creating a retirement account to pay the bills.

Last year the federal government paid a record $268 billion in retirement benefits out of general fund revenues. All total, the unfunded liability for federal and military retirement benefits stands at $5.7 trillion, which is dangerously close to the unfunded mandate of social security which has an expected shortfall of $6.5 trillion.
By abdicating their responsibility to assure the long term health of our economy, Congress chooses to kick the can down the road a little further each year, leaving us at a point where there is no more road to kick down.

The problem is not the government employees who were promised a retirement plan when they were hired. For many, retirement benefits were the deciding factor between a private sector career and choosing the security of a government pension program. My issue is with elected leaders who use money that should fund retirement benefits for government workers on pet projects and pork-barrel spending instead.

It is not a matter of stripping promised retirement benefits from retired federal workers, just as we have no desire to take away Social Security benefits from those who depend on them. The answer lies in significant reduction of the federal government by returning to Constitutional limits on federal power.

Power must be returned to the states, ending the Big Brother mentality pervasive in Washington DC. We don’t need a Washington bureaucrat deciding what's best for our communities, and it's clear we also cannot afford it.

Men In Black, by Mark Levin

Another book finished, and on to finish a couple of others. Yes - and start another by my him entitled: Liberty and Tyranny - A Conservative Manifesto.  Thanks Brad!

I've always known that I'm a conservative, with a few left leaning ideas, yet as I become more and more informed, I've realized that I'm almost a Libertarian. Although I really don't go that far - as there has to be some rules.

Anyway, if you haven't read the book, please do.

For those of you that believe the courts of our country should over-ride our State and US Constitution, you propably will not like the book, as you believe the people should be told what to do, instead of the people telling the government what to do.

Anyway off to feeding my brain.

Leadership & Self-deception, by The Arbinger Institute

No I'm not becoming touch-feely, or maybe I've always been - to a certain extent. This book is an excellent read about thinking outside the box. In our personal lives and in business.

It's almost like all the material we have to read and digest at the Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, TX. It's a good look at yourself and a way out of the box.

It was first published in 2000. They have expanded this, second edition, to enclude more for you to think about. The copy I have is in paperback.

So, are you in or out.

And for those of you who know me, YES, I got it from my wife, the love of my life!
