A delightful paraphrase of Psalm 23 by Japanese poet Toki Miyashina:
The Lord is my Pacesetter, I shall not rush.
He makes me stop and rest for quiet intervals.
He provides me with images of stillness which restore my serenity.
He leads me in ways of efficiency, through calmness of mind, and
His guidance is peace.
Even though I have a great many things to accomplish this day,
I will not fret, for His presence is here.
His timelessness, His all-importance, will keep me in balance.
He prepares refreshment and renewal in the midst of my activity by
anointing my head with the oil of tranquility.
My cup of joyous energy overflows.
Surely harmony and effectiveness shall be the fruits of my hours,
for I shall walk in the place of my Lord, and dwell in His house forever.
Like the original psalm, the poem is a reminder for people like me—who
easily get caught in the grip of rush and hurry— that God is unrushed and
His guidance is unhurried.
I need to stop and meditate on this for a while.
The Lord is my Pacesetter, I shall not rush. Even though I have a great many
things to accomplish this day, I will not fret, for His presence is here (vv.4-6).

Shouldn't the Government Support Our Returning Veterans?
Every day we are bombarded with ads and commercials urging us to support Wounded Warriors, Paralyzed Veterans, etc, with a $19 a month gift... just $228 a year.
The $50 Million we send to Ukraine would support almost 220,000 veterans for a year. In addition, there would be no high fund raising expenses if the government allocated those funds.
Now if we could just find the $6 Billion State Department funds that Hillary lost, and can't account for... we could provide each returning veteran a new home, or $100,000 "Thanks For Your Service" welcome home bonus!!!
Nah... that makes too much sense...reward a veteran for putting his life on the line to defend our country?? Unthinkable!!
TJOC: As a disabled veteran I find it ironic that I am bombarded with junk mail requesting that I support our disabled veterans. So I guess we are left to support each other by "passing the hat" for each other. ? ? ? ? ? ?

What is the rule of law, anyway?
by Sylvia Thompson -
Talking heads and elitists from both the left and right of the political spectrum are decrying that Cliven Bundy (the rancher who recently defied the federal government) must follow the "rule of law." Why should he? Barack Obama, the President of the United States does not follow the rule of law. Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States, pays no heed to the rule of law. Why, then, must an average citizen?
Recently, a Congressional Committee called upon a group of legal and policy professionals to testify regarding Obama's blatant disregard for his Constitutional limits. In that committee hearing, a Cato Institute policy director (Michael Cannon) offered that if citizens conclude that government officials are not bound by law, they may also conclude that neither should they be. And I will add that citizens most certainly will not see a need to obey wrong-headed laws that serve to enslave them.
Yes, the jackboots who control the government can bring down the full force of that government upon citizens, and to varying degrees, they have been doing just that. What else would you call the IRS scandals and the umpteen lawless agencies at their command to harass citizens? Yes indeed they can and do exert force. The issue, however, is not what this corrupt, vile government can and will do; the issue is how long Americans will cower on their knees in the dirt, shielding their necks from the next boot drop. That is the issue.
The organized group of armed Americans who came to the aid of the Bundy family were not thinking in terms of "I might be killed today," although they knew that could happen. They were more likely thinking that on this day if I do not stand up to the federal jackboots, I will live to see myself and my progeny enslaved to people who are drunk on power and hateful of individual freedom. I am sure that this is the thinking looming foremost in their minds.
The irritating hype coming from all the media types (conservative and otherwise) imposing themselves on the situation to bring "calm" and to "avoid violence," was so typical of weak people with agendas. The most disgusting to me were the politicos who glommed onto petty issues, such as the construction of the "Free Speech" zones by the feds and the over-dramatization of a woman being pushed, or a Bundy son being tasered. All that energy expended on relatively minor issues when it should have been laser-focused on the diabolical, tyrannical United States federal government that ordered the armed agents there in the first place.
While the Washington political and pundit elites (including Fox News) are whining and moaning about preventing violence and the rule of law, the Bundys and their supporters (who, I think, represent a majority of Americans) have vowed that they will not play victim to an enslaving government. Freedom is what the Founders envisioned for America, so much so, that they endured a revolutionary war and a civil war to bring the vision to full fruition. Some of us do not fear the power of the federal government and are not willing to see that freedom destroyed without a fight. Thank God for that.
I am encouraged by my sense that the Americans standing up for the Bundys are worlds apart from the likes of the Nevada Governor (Brian Sandoval) and the Clark County Sheriff (Douglas Gillespie), the two officials who seem most fearful of the federal government. I am also heartened by the fact that so many Americans are armed and are fighting leftist and federal attempts to disarm them. The only reason that those people were able to face down federal agents is because the Constitution allows them to be armed. Additionally, there were alternative media to the mainstream news agencies. Those alternative sources reported in real time what was transpiring. The federal government could not lie about the consequences of its behavior.
My fervent hope and prayer is that organized militia groups spread out over America (many, by necessity, remaining under the radar) are poised and at the ready to do what they have trained to do. Fight for their country against tyranny from within. They will receive no encouragement from conservative leadership or any government entities, or any elites – those who profit from the status quo. Nor will they receive support from media pundits, left or right. The left will always vilify and condemn and the right will implore them to lie down and grovel – for the sake of nonviolence and peace. I say ignore them all. These patriots must keep ever vigilant and always prepared to fight, with weapons if necessary, and maybe, just maybe, more will have the courage to join them in that inevitable (and I stress inevitable) final clash over what will be the future of America.

Who am I?
I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child.
He fathered several children with numerous women.
I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.
My mother died at an early age from cancer.
Although my father deserted me and my mother raised me,
I later wrote a book idolizing my father not my mother.
Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
My birth records were sketchy.
No one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.
I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity,
as it was widely accepted in my new country,
but I practiced non-traditional beliefs and didn't follow Christianity,
except in the public eye under scrutiny.
I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult,
disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.
That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life.
and I embarked on a new career.
I wrote a book about my struggles growing up.
It was clear to those who read my memoirs,
that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.
I became active in local politics in my 30's then,
with help behind the scenes,
I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s.
They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.
I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history,
and no experience in leading a single organization.
Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me,
as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.
I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.
This bolstered my ego.
At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy...
I was very critical of my country in the last war,
and seized every opportunity to bash my country.
But what launched my rise to national prominence were my
views on the country's economy.
I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better,
and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.
I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.
It was the free market, banks and corporations.
I decided to start making citizens hate them and,
if they became envious of others who did well,
the plan was clinched tight.
I called mine "A People's Campaign".
That sounded good to all people.
I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside
the traditional path of politics and was able to gain
widespread popular support.
I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope',
together we could change our country and the world.
So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on
behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities".
My true views were not widely known and I kept them unknown,
until after I became my nation's leader.
I had to carefully guard reality,
as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed,
if they had simply read my writings
and examined those people I associated with.
I'm glad they didn't.
Then I became the most powerful man in the world.
And the world began to learn the truth.
Who am I?
If you were thinking

Another Political Idiot
Another California Political Jerk talking about things that they don't have a clue about:
AND what surprises me (though it shouldn't) is the police officer standing in the background that's letting him make an ass out of himself - so - their both asswipes!
Just in case the video doesn't work - here's the link: "Political Twit", commonly referred to as a "Dumb Ass!"
Please let the San Andres fault knock "Southern California" off the west coast. I know there would be serious loss of life, which saddens me - yet hopefully it would get rid of these idiots!
Why is it that these idiots are most often "DemoRATS" - though there's quite a few of them that are Repubs too! Yet, most of them are RINOs.

Marriage - The Full Logical Consequences
Thanks Keith! - - - -
"Good morning. We want to apply for a marriage license."
"Names?"
"Tim and Jim Jones."
"Jones?? Are you related?? I see a resemblance."
"Yes, we're brothers."
"Brothers?? You can't get married."
"Why not?? Aren't you giving marriage licenses to same gender
couples?"
"Yes, thousands. But we haven't had any siblings. That's incest!"
"Incest?" No, we are not gay."
"Not gay?? Then why do you want to get married?"
"For the financial benefits, of course. And we do love each other.
Besides, we don't have any other prospects."
"But we're issuing marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples
who've been denied equal protection under the law. If you are not gay,
you can get married to a woman."
"Wait a minute. A gay man has the same right to marry a woman as I
have. But just because I'm straight doesn't mean I want to marry a
woman. I want to marry Jim."
"And I want to marry Tim, Are you going to discriminate against us
just because we are not gay?"
"All right, all right. I'll give you your license. Next."
"Hi. We are here to get married."
"Names?"
"John Smith, Jane James, Robert Green, and June Johnson."
"Who wants to marry whom?"
"We all want to marry each other."
"But there are four of you!"
"That's right. You see, we're all bisexual. I love Jane and Robert,
Jane loves me and June, June loves Robert and Jane, and Robert loves
June and me. All of us getting married together is the only way that
we can express our sexual preferences in a marital relationship."
"But we've only been granting licenses to gay and lesbian couples."
"So you're discriminating against bisexuals!"
"No, it's just that, well, the traditional idea of marriage is that
it's just for couples."
"Since when are you standing on tradition?"
"Well, I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere."
"Who says?? There's no logical reason to limit marriage to couples.
The more the better. Besides, we demand our rights! The Greens says
the constitution guarantees equal protection under the law. Give us a
marriage license!"
"All right, all right. Next."
"Hello, I'd like a marriage license."
"In what names?"
"David Deets."
"And the other man?"
"That's all. I want to marry myself."
"Marry yourself?? What do you mean?"
"Well, my psychiatrist says I have a dual personality, so I want to
marry the two together. Maybe I can file a joint income-tax return."
"That does it!? I quit!!? You people are making a mockery of
marriage!!"
Pretty well sums it up, doesn’t it??

Laugh of the Day
Washington State just passed two laws
1. legalized gay marriage
2. legalized marijuana
The fact that gay marriage and marijuana were legalized on the same day makes perfect biblical sense, because Leviticus 20:13 says:
"If a man lies with another man they should be stoned."
We simply hadn't interpreted it correctly.

People Kill People - Not Guns
That is an average of over 21 per day! And: The United States ranks third in murders throughout the World.
However, if you take out Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, and New Orleans , the United States is third from the bottom for Murders. An astounding statistical inversion! Never happens!
How can this be?
These four Cities have the toughest gun control laws in the United States. All four are long controlled by Democrats who have given us this kind of leadership at the national level. What do you see? An America in great depression: 45% of the people who could work are not, but they say the unemployment rate is 6.7%! Why? No President was ever re-elected with an unemployment rate over 7%, so.... But, meanwhile back at the gun issue:
The period in our history when we had the lowest violent gun death rate was the era of the gunfighter when men routinely carried guns. Anyone bent on robbery, assault or mayhem could expect "an armed response." Thus there was less of all crime in that time.
Read John R. Lott's book, "More Guns, Less Crime" based on ten years of FBI national crime statistics for the truth of the gun issue. The numbers do not lie, but the people for whom we have voted do nothing but lie. That is why American is on verge of utter collapse.
The people who want your guns want a lot more than your guns. They want to control you completely and entirely. It just that simple and a lesson of these 503 days.

Truth on Guns
Remington Arms and Governor Robert Bentley (R) of Alabama recently announced Remington Arms is moving to Alabama with 2,000 new tax-paying, economy-expanding workers. Most of the jobs will be relocated from their Ilion, NY plant, and their initial investment in Alabama will be $87 million.
Founded in 1816 in upstate New York, the company is one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating manufacturers; not missing a beat for 198 years until Governor Andrew Cuomo arrived.
Remington is the only U.S. Manufacturer of both firearms and ammunition. It is one of the largest American producers of shotguns and rifles.
Remington had to consider new locations after the New York legislature passed the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act in response to the tragic shootings in Newtown, Conn.
The legislature broadened the definition of “assault weapons” well beyond the legal term which requires they be fully automatic. They chose to include a wide range of guns, including the Bushmaster, which is a semi-automatic gun manufactured at Remington’s New York plant.
In a bizarre, emotional speech Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) recently said “Extreme conservatives who are “right-to-life, pro assault-weapon and anti-gay have no place in the state of New York.” It was on that day suitcases were heard snapping open in and around the Remington factory. Meanwhile in Alabama...
Gov. Bentley said “In Alabama we strongly support and uphold our great U.S. Constitution on which our nation and states were founded. The Constitution serves to protect individual freedoms. Among them are those guaranteed in the Second Amendment, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. We will protect the freedoms of individuals and welcome any one or any company to Alabama to discover, as so many have, that we are a pro-business state filled with good, hard-working people.
“If Gov. Cuomo doesn’t want hard working pro-life and pro-Second Amendment people in his state, we will gladly take them here in Alabama.” Interestingly, Governor Bentley does not draw a salary!
-----------------------
We can be sure Governor Cuomo would be shocked to be accused of Hitlerian tactics, but what else is he promoting but hate? This is a hallmark of "liberalism," the label itself a lie. The facts of the matter are that in "More Guns; Less Crime," by John R. Lott, the author proves the case stated in his title with ten years of FBI statistics. While he is on the faculty of the University of Chicago, he is also an honest man and let the data tell the story. Too often that does not happen in America today.
When the nations of the world are listed in order by the number of people killed by gun attack America is third from the top. When our largest five cities that have very strict gun control are removed from the data we are third from the bottom. Strict gun laws clearly have an inverse effect as innocent people have no way to protect themselves. Our lowest murder rate in history was during the era of the gunfighter when would be robbers and attackers could expect an armed response, even from ladies. Anyone who speaks against these facts has evil intent and in this case it is a stupid Governor.

From a piece submitted by John Dusek
TJOC: Sorry Adrian and John, according to this article "Remington Has No Plans to Leave New York!" See Guns.com. Although, I certainly wish they would move, yet there is no way they are going to give New York State all the "Tax Money" they currently receive as incentive stay and grow.

Those Dumb Girls at Fox News
TJOC: Found on the www.
If you watch FOX NEWS, READ THIS, so now you'll know!
I would like to see the credentials of the men and women on all the other stations.
For the past 10 years FOX News has had higher ratings and larger audience numbers (for news & business/political "talk" programs) than all of the other TV and Cable news channels combined, which includes: CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC & CBS!
Some folks claim that FOX's higher ratings are only because FOX purposely hires a lot of female "reporters" who do nothing but sit around in short skirts and merely "read everything off of a teleprompter".
Bottom line: The next time you hear someone criticizing FOX News for supposedly having a "bunch of dumb gals" as eye candy . . . check out their qualifications . . . let them speak for themselves!
Brenda Buttner - graduated from Harvard University with honors with a bachelor's degree in social studies. Buttner went on to be a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, where she graduated with high honors and a bachelor's degree in politics and economics.
Shannon Bream - She is a graduate of Liberty University and earned a Juris Doctorate with honors from Florida State University College of Law.

TJOC: WOW! After reading this I just realized that most of these ladies have better qualifications than our current President did when he ran for office.

Thanks for the info Larry
Larry Elder is a syndicated radio talk show host and best-selling author. His latest book, "What's Race Got to Do with It?" is available now
The biggest political
"lie" of 2010?
The winner is: the Republican assertion that ObamaCare is a
"government takeover of health care." A website called PolitiFact
based this on the votes of 4,000 of its readers. ABC's "Nightline"
featured PolitiFact's editor, and "Nightline" reporter Jake Tapper
heartily agreed this was the "biggest lie of the year." Tapper,
normally pretty sane, concluded the piece by saying, "Way to deceive the
public"!Under ObamaCare, the federal government mandates that every man, woman and child purchase health insurance or face a tax; that insurers carry those with pre-existing illnesses and not drop anyone; that insurers allow "children" up to age 26 to remain on their parents' policy; that employers provide health insurance to employees or pay a tax; and that the states add 30 million previously uninsured to the Medicaid program irrespective of their ability to pay for it.
This is a "government takeover." And it is a lie to characterize it as a "lie." Calling an opinion, and a perfectly reasonable one at that, a "lie" stretches the definition into something unrecognizable.
OK, we're game. Here, in no particular order, are the top 10 political lies of 2010.
1. Ninety-five percent of "working families" received a tax cut.
No. The bill gave tax cuts to those who pay taxes -- and gave money, "tax credits," to those who pay little or nothing in taxes. We used to call this welfare.
2. The General Motors bailout "worked."
Did it? Tell that to GM's bondholders. CNBC's Larry Kudlow wrote: "The GM bondholders own $27 billion and they're getting 10 percent of the common stock in an expected exchange. And the UAW owns $10 billion of the bonds and they're getting 40 percent of the stock." What would have happened had the government stepped aside and let the private sector take over -- a natural and necessary consequence of running a business into the ground? What about "moral hazard" -- shielding a company from the effect of its poor decisions -- which, in turn, encourages negligence and sloth on the part of other companies deemed "too big to fail"?
3. ObamaCare will "bend the cost curve down."
The alleged "savings" occur only by assuming politically unlikely and unpopular cuts in Medicare. Then there are sub-lies, including: "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor." Obama later admitted, "I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge."
4. The tea party is "racist."
The proof? The head of the NAACP told CNN's Anderson Cooper that tea partyers used the racially coded rallying cry "take our country back." Unfortunately, Cooper ran a montage of Democrats like Bill Clinton, Howard Dean and John Kerry rousing supporters by demanding that they "take our country back." Yes, a handful of idiots held up stupid signs. And no, they weren't impaled and set on fire. Quick, somebody call Sharpton!
5. The $800 billion "stimulus" funded millions of "shovel-ready" jobs.
Vice President Joe Biden's June "Summer of Recovery" report claimed that "shovel-ready" projects created jobs. "Between ... tax relief, direct aid, and shovel-ready projects, the Recovery Act has ... created or retained between 2.2 and 2.8 million jobs." Even Obama, in October, admitted, "There's no such thing as 'shovel-ready projects.'" Oh.
6. Stimulus "saved or created" 3.5 million jobs.
The administration had predicted that 90 percent of the "saved or created" jobs would be private sector. Reason columnist Veronique de Rugy writes, "Four out of five jobs created were created (SET ITAL) in the public sector (END ITAL). (Two years into the stimulus) 682,370 jobs were reported created, not 3 million, and over 510,000 of these were in the public sector."
7. There is a "consensus," according to the White House website, that the stimulus plan "pulled us back from the brink of economic disaster."
Consensus? A poll by the Pew Research Center found that nearly two-thirds of Americans thought the stimulus did not contribute to job creation.
8. The 111th Congress was the "most productive" since -- pick one -- the New Deal, LBJ's Great Society or the beginning of the republic.
Define "productive." The deficit tripled from the '08 budget. The past two years produced almost $4 trillion in new debt, more than any Congress in history. This congressional "productivity" cost the Democrats their House majority and their Senate supermajority.
9. Bush-era "deregulation" caused the Gulf oil spill.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Bush placed "the employees of Big Oil in charge of regulating their own industry." The oil extraction business remains heavily regulated. Obama's administration, not Bush's, approved the Deepwater Horizon project.
10. Guantanamo Bay will be shut down in 2010.
Obama promised a closure in the first, and then the second, year of his administration. Gitmo exists for a reason. It confines Islamofascists who want to kill American "infidels." No other country that we can trust to keep the would-be killers confined wants them. "I'm going to close down Guantanamo" is yet another I'm-not-Bush promise that crashed-landed onto the mean streets of the real world. OK, technically not a "lie." But, whatever.
