Obama is a Teddy Roosevelt?

Now, I have a couple stories here about Obama’s speech in Osawatomie, Kansas, tomorrow (December 07). First is from Zeke Miller at the BusinessInsider.com. “Obama Is About To Make A Big Class Warfare Speech — President Barack Obama will travel to Osawatomie, Kansas, on Tuesday to emphasize the need for Americans to pay their ‘fair share.’” Do you realize who the enemy in this country is today, folks? The enemy today is people who work.

Listen to the Occupy Wall Street people who Obama supports. The enemy today are people who work. The enemy today are people who are producing things. The enemy today are people who are building things. The enemy today are people who are drawing a paycheck. They are the enemy. They are not “paying their fair share.”

They are the reason this country is in deep doo-doo, not the lazy losers who are not working; who are defecating and urinating all over themselves and everything else. Not the lazy losers who are ......

Thoughtsjustoffcenter comments: All of this while he is running around and saying the the Republicans are holding up a tax cut to the pay roll tax. Which keeps him from bankrupting America. What the hell? That's how Social Security and Medicare is paid for. Taxes will have to be doubled when this little deal is done. Why you ask - because it's the law - any monies taken from the two funds have to be replaced, so that means taxes will double in order of both funds to catch up. This law was passed after the DemocRATS raided both funds. The Republicans passed the law to keep the everyone from stealing from the funds. They did it while they held both houses of congress.

Pony Up Everyone!

If everyone is taxed at the same percentage, then what the heck is the problem?

Politics is the problem!

Why should I bust my butt to become wealthy if everyone wants to take half of my earnings to give to people that refuse to work. I don’t have a problem giving to those in need; yet, the country seems set on making everyone a person in need with the welfare programs and the crap that they teach in school nowadays.

Reform Welfare;

Get rid of the Department of Education (sending it back to the States control);

Cut back on the Department of Housing and Urban control;

Remove the legislative/law making authority from all the various government agencies;

Downsize the IRS through Tax Reform and send all the lawyers and accountants to work at the FBI – they can start investigating white collar crime and corruption in government; and

STOP all the growth of government by consolidating various entities and downsizing them through attrition (sp) until they reach the desired end strength;

Cap government spending to a percentage of the national GDP;

Lastly, Flat Tax everyone at 15 percent! Here are my suggestions for the only exceptions to any new tax code (and only for those making less than $250,000.00 a year (or $500,000.00 for filing married) -

- a deduction of $15,000 per (legitimate) person within the immediate household;

- a deduction for interest on the Cost of Housing;

- a deduction for State and Local Taxes;

- a deduction for Monies (only) Given to Charities (giving to your local Church will not count).

- That's it, no death taxes, corporate taxes, or deductions for businesses/new equipment or assessments, ect. If you make money on it - It's Taxed.

((Those individuals at the poverty level, and below, don't pay taxes (and herein lies the rub) - the individuals that work under the table for cash, that cheat us all, by not claiming the money as earned income.))

- - I SAY NO TO A NATIONAL SALES TAX! - -

Lastly, I'm not totally sure, but the people making $250,000.00 a year (or $500,000.00 for filing married) should get the excemptions also. After all, it should be fair for everyone - "across the board."

Paying for Obama's New Jobs Ideas

Hum -

"You've got to pass this now!" Don't worry about looking at it until it gets passed. You find out the results after it's signed into law. DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

He's going to cut the pay roll tax in half. Isn't that how Social Security and Medicaid are paid for. He's cutting them in half when they are already at a deficit. Just how in the heck did this man graduate for High School, College, and lastly Harvard? He has no sense of economics or how to balance a check book.

He's going to increase taxes on those that make more than $200,000 a year. Didn't congress already flush that idea down the toilet?

He's going to take away or diminish the exemptions for housing and charity contributions.

Think of the others that he has hidden in his proposal?

Are any of them going to be new or different from the past?

As far as jobs, he's buying of the unions again in the type of jobs he is talking about.

Duh, I think we already have enough plumbers!

Requirement to vote: Pay Your Taxes

President Obama and other Democrats have called paying higher income taxes the Patriotic thing to do for wealthier Americans. We can only assume that this means paying any income tax is a Patriotic thing to do and therefore essential to the American way. Let me make a proposal to those elected leaders who believe paying taxes, and especially more taxes, is a very Patriotic thing. Let us come together in a bipartisan way and compromise.

Liberals love their taxes. Go ahead. Raise those income tax rates as high as you want on those you consider wealthy. I will argue though that someone making $250,000 even without taxes deducted cannot afford a private jet. But I digress; facts don’t matter to you so tax away.

We can even go a few steps further and lower income taxes on all those Americans making less than $250,000 a year. I know you will do this because you want as many votes as possible. Votes in the next election drive your policies today.

…here’s my proposition. For the ability to impose income tax rates at your will, we must also pass the most patriotic of Amendments. Beyond pushing taxes as Patriotic, Liberals also (and rightly so) refer to the right to vote as the most Patriotic of all. The right to vote is a wonderful thing, but we need an Amendment to the Constitution that limits the right to vote with the ability to be so Patriotic in paying taxes. If you pay taxes you can vote. Since around 51% of Americans don’t pay an income tax our electorate will be cut in half. Why should that be a bad thing, Mr. Liberal. After all, they aren’t Patriotic.

That’s my compromise. Those who participate in the ability of our government to function in their most Patriotic act of working to fund it get to participate in electing its leaders who run the government they fund. Those who don’t pay taxes and aren’t Patriotic don’t participate in a government they have no ties to.

Sure, you will lose most of your votes because those you have enslaved to the State will no longer have a voice, but that’s the point. The ability for corrupt policies to pass will be reduced. We may even begin to see fair taxation. Only when all Americans pay (their share of the burden.  – added to complete the sentence)

In order to get people on board with, we, Conservatives, most of these folks are going to have to feel the effect of what this administration has doing. Until they suffer financially they will not change as long as they have a good paying jobs. I know this for a fact. I am a staunch Conservative. I have two step daughters that voted for this idiot we call our president. They both know that I do not have any respect for Obama’s ideology, but they both voted for him anyway. This irritates the hell out of me, and they both know it. I have argued with them, but they think they know better than I. They both have good jobs and have not been affected yet by this idiots ideology. Obama’s anti drilling in this country has nearly doubled the cost of gasoline since he has been in office. He is anti nuclear, anti coal, anti oil so that is one thing that has put a lot of folks out of work. Obama doesn’t seem to care about the middle man, or the poor folks. He just wants to get your vote by promising you a measly welfare check. The Majority of folks want to work. It makes people feel good about themselves when they can earn their own way. We need to send Obama back to his shadowy past and out of the public life.

John G. Is 63-years old and owns a small business. He’s a life-long Republican and sees his dream of retiring next year has all but evaporated. With the stock market crashing and new taxes coming his way, John assumes now that he will work to his dying day.

John has a granddaughter. Ashley is a recent college grad. She drives a flashy hybrid car, wears all the latest fashions, and loves to go out to nightclubs and restaurants. Ashley campaigned hard for Barack Obama. After the election she made sure her grandfather (and all other Republican family members) received a big I told-you-so earful on how the world is going to be a much better place now that her party is taking over.

Having lost both roommates, Ashley recently ran short of cash and cannot pay the rent (again) on her 3 bedroom townhouse. As she has done many times in the past, she e-mailed her grandfather asking for some financial help.

Here is his reply:

Sweetheart,

I received your request for assistance. You know I love you dearly and I’m sympathetic to your financial plight. Unfortunately, times have changed. With the election of President Obama, your grandmother and I have had to set forth a bold new economic plan of our own….”The Ashley Economic Empowerment Plan.” Let me explain.

Your grandmother and I are life-long, wage-earning tax payers. We have lived a comfortable life, as you know, but we have never had the fancier things like European vacations, luxury cars, etc. We have worked hard and were looking forward to retiring soon. But the plan has changed. Your president is raising our personal and business taxes significantly. He says it is so he can give our hard earned money to other people. Do you know what this means, Ashley? It means less for us, and we must cut back on many business and personal expenses.

You know the wonderful receptionist who worked in my office for more than 23 years? The one who always gave you candy when you came over to visit? I had to let her go last week. I can’t afford to pay her salary and all of the government mandated taxes that go with having employees. Your grandmother will now work 4 days a week to answer phones, take orders and handle the books. We will be closed on Fridays and will lose even more income. I’m also very sorry to report that your cousin Frank will no longer be working summers in the warehouse. I called him at school this morning. He already knows about it and he’s upset because he will have to give up skydiving and his yearly trip to Greenland to survey the polar bears.

That’s just the business side of things. Some personal economic effects of Obama’s new taxation policies include none other than you. You know very well that over the years your grandmother and I have given you thousands of dollars in cash, tuition assistance, food, housing, clothing, gifts, etc. But by your vote, you have chosen to help others — not at your expense — but at our expense.

You said Mr. Obama is going to be the People’s President, and is going to help every American live a better life. Have him call me for the account number which I memorized years ago.

Perhaps you can now understand what I’ve been saying all my life: those who vote for a president should consider the impact on the nation as a whole, and not be just concerned with what they can get for themselves. What Obama supporters don’t seem to realize is all of the money he is redistributing to illegal aliens and non-taxpaying Americans (the so-called “less fortunate”) comes from tax-paying families.

Remember how you told me, “Only the richest of the rich will be affected”? Well guess what, honey? Because we own a business, your grandmother and I are now considered to be the richest of the rich. On paper, it might look that way, but in the real world, we are far from it. As you said while campaigning for Obama, some people will have to carry more of the burden so all of America can prosper. You understand what that means, right? It means that raising taxes on productive people results in them having less money; less money for everything, including granddaughters.
I’m sorry, Ashley, but the well has run dry. The free lunches are over. I have no money to give you now. So, congratulations on your choice for “change.” For future reference, I encourage you to try and add up the total value of the gifts and cash you have received from us, just since you went off to college, and compare it to what you expect to get from Mr. Obama over the rest of his term in office.  I have not kept track of the money we have given you Ashley. It has all truly been the gift of our hearts.

Remember, we love you dearly….but from now on you’ll need to call the number mentioned above. Your “Savior” has the money (via the IRS) we would have given to you. Just try and get it from them.

((I have seen this letter before; however, again, people need to conduct real research - like they learned how to do in college - before they vote for anyone. It was a serious mistake made by lots of people in America and, the belief, that the younger generation always knows better than anyone that is older than them. There are some things the younger generation does get right, this just wasn't one of them. Although, who esle did the Republican Party give us to vote for? They are just as much to blame.))

Some Thoughts on Solutions to Some of "OUR" National Problems

The Debt Limit:              Raise it one LAST time to whatever is needed in the next two years.

FLAT TAX:                     Everyone and businesses pay (10% to 15%) no exemptions.  At the end of the year, all individuals at or below the poverty line file a return and receive any taxes back that they’ve paid in. States will be limited to a Flat Tax (10% cap) or Flat Property Tax program, one or the other, not both.

Spending:                      Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are capped along with all discretionary   spending. If you’re 50 or older you will be included in these programs. If you are younger, new programs will be established between government and the private sector for retirement benefits, both monetary and health care. Start saving your pennies people.  As for me, you can keep the SS as I planned for my retirement and didn’t consider SS in my planning.

Welfare:                        You’ve got 5-years to get it together and then you’re off the program, never to return. While on the program, you will receive food stamps, for food only. Your children will attend school and you will be responsible for ensuring that they maintain a “C” in all of their courses. They will also attend after school tutoring and daycare. That’s because you will also be required to attend schooling in order to become a productive member of this society, pick a trade school/profession. While not in school, you will be working for the government: Federal, State, or local doing whatever needs doing (e.g. community service). Additionally, while on the program, you will receive counseling for any personal issues you may have. You will not take drugs that have not been prescribed by a physician that is recognized for the medical programs that you are in and you will partake in weekly urine tests.

Medical:                         As everyone has medical needs, and should prepare themselves, Medicare and Medicaid will continue; however, if you below the age of 30 you will be doubly scrutinized to insure that the care you are receiving is needed and why you cannot afford your own health care. Doctors that abuse the medical system will go to jail and serve the inmate population. Upon release, they will sign an oath/statement that they will no long abuse the medical system or they will be barred from practicing medicine in the United States.

I do not believe anyone was born here, put here, brought here, or whatever, to live off the hard work of others, while they do nothing but sit back and party, take illegal drugs, sleep, and selfishly do nothing to improve themselves or our society.  If that's what their belief system is, then they need to change it or leave. We are here to improve on the principles of our founding fathers and help each other succeed. That means everyone has to get off their butts and get to work. If we all did, we could all retire at 50.I’ve got a lot more ideas that I’ll put out there for everyone to read and think about.

These are just starting points for a national discussion that is desperately needed. I know that I will take hits from the slackers of our society, yet I’ll just have to deal with it as best I can. Lastly, as everyone knows, if we tax the top 10% of the money earners in the US at 50-60 percent, the nation will end up just like the misery that has happened to/in Detriot, Michigan. 

How to Start?

I've often thought of myself as someone that can see both sides of an issue and help improve on the solutions. Something that our Representatives and Senators are supposed to do for us as member of the United States Congress. Having been raised by a very religious Mother, an absent Father, two Step-Fathers, and a heck of a child's problem solver named Fred Wilkenson (at the Jessie Dyslin Boys Ranch, on the edge of Tacoma, WA), and by members of the US Army Military Intelligence community and the US Army Special Forces, I learned to became a man and take responsibility for myself - and have fun while doing it. Not everything goes the way you want it in life. You've got to learn from your mistakes (I've made a few - in all areas of my life) and drive on, adapting to various situations (whether created by you or not). If you’re ethical, it will sometimes be very difficult to proceed, but all of us must learn to make the (hard) right decision and act accordingly. If you can't look at yourself in the mirror and at your family and say that you've done the right thing. Then you either didn't know what the right thing was or you have lost you integrity. An item that belongs to you that is very easy to lose, yet it's a very long and difficult path to get it back. Without integrity, you can't be trusted.

So what’s this all about – well solutions that are off center, left or right of the line. “Take the best and leave the rest.” In solutions to our nations and our own personal problems. We must stop being selfish with each other and take responsibility and maintain our integrity. We can always blame someone, yet we have to come to an agreement and solve our problems ourselves. “If you and I don’t do it – Who will? The politicos, I think not, as they’ve got their hands in the cookie jar. And even though the cookie jar is empty, they do not have the fortitude to stand up and tell the truth to us. So that leaves us to do our own research and get the right ethical person (people) to stand their ground. Lastly, we as the people need to respond ethically and stand ours!

In writing this, I’ve created a few run on sentences and thoughts. I hope, that if you run across this on the web, that you will have the courtesy not to try and turn me into the perfect English grammar and punctuation symbol of the internet. Yes, I have dyslexic brain and fingers, so I will a few mistakes that spell check, or grammer check, will not catch or correct and a few that I don't believe the spelling or grammer needs any checking/correction.

((BTW – the cookie jar is in reference to money, “the people’s money.” You know those taxes we pay by April 15^th of every year to pay for our government and the people who run it.)

Lastly, THANKS FRED, you will always be remembered as a man that showed many of us the way, using every form of persusiveness and compassion you had at hand in dealing with (this) troubled youth!
