The American Media

Ever since Watergate in the 1970s, you can count on the left-wing media to attack Republican administrations relentlessly. But when Democrats are in power, it's an entirely different story.

Freedom of the press is guaranteed for the "fourth estate" so the media can monitor the three branches of government and, hopefully, help keep them in check. But in an opinion piece posted on FOX News' website this week, the Media Research Center's Dan Gainor accuses many in the "mainstream" media of not doing their job:

"(T)he situation at VA hospitals and the IRS scandal are surely two of the worst in the scandal-ridden Obama White House. In both cases, government bureaucrats took deliberate actions against American citizens.

When our veterans were pushed aside and their medical problems hidden from Congress, journalists at the three major broadcast networks took their time reporting it. It was almost two weeks before the networks' news divisions noticed that as many as 40 veterans died while on secret waiting lists."

Gainor adds that ABC, CBS and NBC devoted just 110 minutes to the VA scandal in an entire month! It took those same networks just four and a half days to spend that much time reporting about the bogus "Bridgegate" scandal surrounding New Jersey governor Chris Christie -- a Republican.

The American media has a constitutionally protected duty to serve We, the People as a government watchdog. But few of them are actually living up to that responsibility. That's why it's up to grassroots Americans, like you and me, to serve as a strong, clear voice for our veterans!
