On June 29, 2012, Barack Obama threatened to veto a defense appropriation bill partly because it did not include higher health care fees for members of the military. That’s right. Obama was out to veto a bill because they didn’t raise fees for health care on military personnel. This is just another example of his total lack of regard or appreciation of the military and disgust with America in general.

In an official policy statement, the “White House” wrote:

The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives in either the appropriation or authorization legislation.”

The most recent budget proposal by the Obama Administration (no budget has been in effect the entire time Mr. Obama has been in office), requested billions of dollars worth of higher fees for members of the military. It’s one of the Obama Administration’s means of cutting $500 billion from the Pentagon’s budget (making way for the free loaders that refuse to get a job and at least pay a portion of their own bills).

Mr. Obama made this move against what the House of Representatives had already approved in May (HR 5856). It outlines a clear and precise military budget. Yet his senior advisor said that he would veto it. This bill has/had bi-partisan support (support of both/all political parties).

It appears (it has since he took office) that our military cannot depend on the pseudo Commander-in-Chief to look out for them while they continue to look out for America.

Should the bill have made it to his desk and he vetoed it, it would be/has been a long line of issues that Mr. Obama has set up that makes it more difficult for struggling military personnel and their families. AND don’t forget about the retirees and their families!

ThoughtsjustoffCenter: As a retired SGM (Disabled), I’m willing to pay a little more for my healthcare. However, how about all the freeloaders just paying something for theirs?

Let me see, on top of giving the government over 27 years of my life in the defense of our country; an ankle – that’s been put back (half-way) together; a knee – that requires that I wear an brace with metal inserts; 4 disks in my back – that are bad (one has been replaced with an artificial disk and they are getting ready to put wires in my back to stimulate the nerves to keep them from sending pain signals to my brain); and a reconstructed face/jaw due to an injury.

Mr. Obama doesn’t think I’ve pay enough for my medical care, or that other soldiers (much worse off than I), that have lost limbs, have diseases that can’t be gotten rid of, other bodily malfunctions – that they haven’t paid enough?

 I’d say his train of thought is messed up.

BTW, even though the Supreme Court ruled against “free healthcare for life” as advertised by recruiters (up through the mid-1970’s), everyone forgets (Politian’s especially) what the military has done for the country. Less than one-percent of the population has/is protecting this nation. Yet, almost 50% of the other portion of the population believes that they should get something for doing nothing. This is the part of the population that Mr. Obama supports, the ones that want everything for doing nothing and are only for themselves.
