CO2 is a trace gas in air. It is
insignificant by definition. Water vapor molecules absorb heat energy, or
infrared, from sunlight seven times as well as CO2. (See Absorption Spectra) Water vapor is
responsible for 99.8% of all atmospheric heating.
There are 80
times as many water molecules as CO2 and each
absorbs seven times as much energy as each CO2.
To blame CO2 for "global warming" is ridiculous.
It is done only by corrupt, ignorant or sloppy scholars in whitecoats whose
Ph.D.s should be rescinded for crimes against science.
NASA has
been spending $4 billion dollars a year to study the atmosphere since James
Hansen made his famous presentation to a committee of Congress on a very hot
1982 August day. Eleven years before that he had been trying to sell them on a
coming ice age and that they should be taxing carbon as carbon particulate
matter was shading Earth from sunlight. Congress didn't bite the first time,
but they saluted the Hansen flag in 1982 and the world has not been same since
as politicians caught on that this would give them more power than that changing
hands with the Magna Carta or the Guillotine. Jim Hansen is responsible for the
wasting of over $104 billion of taxpayer's money and he wants more!
The Hansen gang of 50 Ph.D. scientists at the Goddard Space Institute on the
campus of Columbia University in New York City is playing the oldest game in
academia. They write papers and put each other's names on them in order to
balloon published output. If each writes one paper and shares credit with 49
others each can claim to have authored 50 papers. They run in journals with
circulations of a few hundred, substantially less than that put out by any
American high school newspaper, which will be of greater scholarship and worth,
but not cost four billion dollars per year. And, these people have the gall to
claim "Global warming deniers are paid off by oil companies telling
lies!"
When the textbook publishers saw this coming they
realized it would generate a whole new set of "corrected" text books so they
gleefully put textbook writing committees together and what is now taught for
science in our schools does not pass the smell test. And, where the teacher's
unions will not allow schools to pay more for trained science teachers, who can
make three to four times in industry what the schools can pay, the result is a
Dark Age in science teaching. Little if any science is actually taught in our
high schools when 50 years ago it was seen as a "national emergency" in view of
Sputnick. This does not bode well for America.
